Music vs Computer Programming

The two have in common, however, that they both deal with abstractions of an exact and quasi-mathematical nature, which take on concrete forms. Like programming languages, and unlike natural language, some of written music's meaning is unambiguous and separable from the notation. And there is an uncertain but oft-noted cognitive connection between music and programming.
