Future: Microsoft Surface Computing

Posted by ekwogefee | 5 Jun, 2007

Well, PopularMechanics has released a very interesting video on Microsoft's next generation computers. Surface computers with multi-touch capabilities

Check it out here:

http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/industry/4217348.html

You'll be amazed.

But after the amazement there are some questions:

How will the keyboard fit into this technology. I want to imagine the keyboard itself will just pop out on the screen when necessary. Hmmm.

What operating system will it run on ? Windows Vista ?

What of ergonomy? I won't want to be standing all the time, or leaning my back to "surface compute ".

All the same , this is a welcome technology. Very very welcome. I hope to be able to use it before I grow old and tired of computers in general.

PS: Looks like Apple already had this type of functionality with their iPhone.

Update:

Below is a video of the guy responsible for this multi-touch technology. The CEO of Perceptive Pixel , Jeff Han

My review of "What I've Done" by Linkin Park

Posted by ekwogefee | 30 Apr, 2007

No, this can't be happening. Linkin Park has done it again. Releasing a very perfect single. I thought after Hybrid Theory and Meteora, Linkin Park wouldn't be able to come out again with a great album. But this song "What I've done" shows that they have reinvented the way they sing, and it sounds so good. (More)

I am in a country where we are not as rich as our overseas counterparts, but we do nothing to close the economic gap. Take OpenOffice (some opensource software) for instance. Most of our leaders or company directors are scared of open source software!

Humour: How to shower men vs women

Posted by ekwogefee | 15 Apr, 2007

You know, men and women are very different from each other.

Imagine there is a very handsome man standing on the side of road. Of the 100 women he invites to have sex, only around 7 may follow.

But if a very beautiful lady standing on the road invites 100 men to have sex, around 90 may follow, and later go and brag infront of their friends.

Another way they differ is how they shower.

Take a look at the video below:
